Watchstander Privacy Policy

Watchstander: CORTA on Android

Watchstander: CORTA does not require an Enclave account. The current Google Play Data safety disclosure states that the Android application does not collect user data and does not share user data with third parties. Scores and training activity used by features such as the SWO Log are stored locally on the device.

Watchstander on Steam

Watchstander may use Steam platform services for features associated with the user’s Steam account and, when supported and enabled, Steam Cloud synchronization. The prior Enclave Gaming privacy notice identified Steam account identifiers and game progress or performance data as information used for save data, progress, the SWO Log, and performance summaries. The game itself does not ask the user to provide a personal name or email address for normal play.

Steam and Valve operate their own platform services and handle Steam account information under their own terms and privacy policies. Enclave Ideas LLC does not control the information Valve independently collects as the platform operator.

Local saves and training records

Watchstander products may store save data, scores, settings, and training history locally on the user’s device. The standalone COLREGS / Rules of the Road Training Administrator is designed for offline use and stores its training records locally.

How information is used

Where platform identifiers or cloud-save information are used, they are used to support save synchronization, progress, performance summaries, or similar product functions. Enclave Ideas LLC does not sell personal information collected through Watchstander products.

Data deletion and platform controls

Local application data can generally be removed by clearing the application’s local storage or uninstalling the application, subject to the controls available on the user’s device. Steam Cloud data and other platform-managed information are subject to the account and cloud controls provided by Steam.
